Every brand has a story behind its name, and this one begins on a small island off the coast of Kenya.
My dad was actually born in Kenya and he made the decision to move back in 2012. Since then, I've been incredibly lucky to spend many holidays there, exploring different parts of the country and making memories I'll always treasure.
One place has always stood out to me: Lamu.
There's something truly special about it. The crystal-clear turquoise water, the colourful streets, the relaxed pace of life. It's the kind of place that stays with you long after you've left.
When I started my swimwear brand, I wanted a name that captured that feeling.
To me, Lamu represents sunshine, adventure, and colourful days by the ocean. Those are exactly the moments I hope our bikinis become part of.
Lamu Swim is more than just a name. It's a reminder of a place that has inspired me for years and continues to influence everything from our vibrant prints to our love of the ocean.
Although our bikinis are designed to be worn all over the world, a little piece of Kenya is stitched into every collection.
